Welcome to the Exhibitors page of the Children’s Clean Water Festival!

Do you work for an organization or agency with an interest in water? Participating in the Children’s Clean Water Festival as an exhibitor offers the opportunity to get your message across to over 1,000 4th and 5th graders who are motivated to learn! In a large hall at Portland Community College’s Sylvania campus, exhibitors bring their educational displays, brochures, and interactive activities to students. Exhibitors interact with interested 4th and 5th grade students in small groups, informing them about water pollution prevention, conservation, aquatic organisms, ecology, and so on.

An added bonus is meeting the other exhibitors – who might be from a federal, state or local government agency, an environmental organization, or a consulting firm.

Unlike classroom presenters, who have students assigned to their classroom and teach to a captive audience, exhibitors interact with chaperoned small groups of students who choose to stop at the exhibitor’s table or display. Although you can expect to have fewer than ten students at a time at your exhibit, keep in mind that the hall is usually full of noisy and energetic kids!! For this reason the most popular exhibits are those that are colorful, fun, and interactive. It is a great time to answer eager students’ questions and explore with them their ideas about science and stewardship of water and water-related resources.
