School Groups: Ideas

We encourage teachers to incorporate lessons in water into the classroom prior to attending the Festival.

The Children's Clean Water Festival brings a wide array of water experts into one place to educate the 4th and 5th graders. Some of topics include:
    Water cycle
    Pollution
    Plant and animal species
    Wells
    Wetlands
    Aquifers
    Responsible recreation
    Waste water treatment
    Public water treatment
    Fisheries
    Hydro-power
Take a look at our 2008 Clean Water Festival Program (PDF) to get more wonderful ideas about how to teach your students about water both before and after the Festival.

We also have some links to different agencies and organizations that offer great ideas for your classroom in our "Teachers' Guide" portion of our site.
