Home Page Children's Clean Water Festival

Welcome to the Volunteers' page of the Children's Clean Water Festival website!

Volunteers are an essential part of the Children's Clean Water Festival. Each year, water resource professionals enter the classrooms at Portland Community College to teach 4th and 5th grade students about pollution prevention, conservation, aquatic organisms and ecology, and more.

Our Festival Volunteers provide support to these Classroom Presenters as well as to our Exhibitors, Stage Shows, and Festival organizers. However, one of the most important duties a Volunteer is asked to perform is to be a Class Guide. Class Guides escort one class through their Festival schedule for the entire day. School groups depend on their class guides to get them from one activity to another on time and in an orderly fashion.
