Logistical information for volunteering at the Children’s Clean Water Festival

Before the Festival


Make sure Thursday, April 24, 2008 is available for you. Mark your calendar!

Attend the volunteer orientation session before the festival. Meet at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Campus Center, PCC-Sylvania Campus.

Materials for Class Guides

Class Guides will be assigned a 4th- or 5th- grade class and lead them around PCC-Sylvania to all of their scheduled activities (presentations, stage shows, and exhibits). If you are a Class Guide, you will receive the following materials by mail, but they are also provided here for your convenience:

The Day of the Festival


1. Arrive at the Festival by 8:00 a.m.
2. You may park for free in the parking lot near the exhibit hall. 3. Meet with the Volunteer Coordinator and receive your final instructions.
4. Have a fun-filled, educational day!
5. Depart the Festival at about 3:00 p.m.

Directions

Heading South on Interstate 5:

Take Exit 295 (Capitol Highway)
At end of exit, turn right onto Taylor's Ferry Rd.
Turn right onto Capitol Highway at four-way stop sign.
Take Capitol Highway (which becomes SW 49th) past five traffic lights to the Sylvania Campus on the right.
Note: there's a charge for parking at PCC campuses.

Heading North on Interstate 5:

Take Exit 294 (Barbur Blvd.)
At end of exit, turn right onto SW 60th.
Follow 60th around the bend to a stop sign.
Turn right onto Lesser Rd.
Campus entrance is approximately 1/2 mile on the left.
Note: there's a charge for parking at PCC campuses.

Served by Tri-Met bus routes No.44 and No.78.
